International research collaborations and networks

ACGO collaborates with international research institutes, universities, and academic networks to advance research on arms control, technological security risks, and global order. These partnerships support joint research projects, scholarly exchange, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

They also strengthen ACGO’s international research network and contribute to the development of empirical datasets, analytical frameworks, and policy-relevant research.

WIFIS – Scientific Forum for International Security Studies

SIPRI – Stockholm International Peace Research Institute

  • Leading international research institute on arms control, military expenditure, armament dynamics, and international security.

IFSH – Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy Hamburg

  • Research institute at the University of Hamburg focusing on international security policy, arms control, and strategic stability.

VeSPoTec – Verification in a complex and unpredictable world: social, political and technical processes

  • Research consortium between RWTH Aachen University, the Forschungszentrum Jülich, the TU Darmstadt and the University of Duisburg-Essen on the verification in the arms sector.
